Yes for Yesavage – May 21, 2026
Trey Yesavage, SP, TOR
Yesavage was unhittable against the Yankees on Wednesday, allowing just 2 hits and 0 BB’s in 6 shutout innings while striking out 8. This lowers his ERA to a microscopic 1.07 through 5 starts this season, to go along with a 29:8 K:BB through 25.1 IP. Yesavage entered Wednesday with a lofty 15.4% SwStr%, and it was encouraging to see him avoid any walks, after walking multiple batters in his three previous starts. There could be some regression however, as he has yet to allow a HR, despite an elevated 53.1% FB%.
Dylan Crews, OF, WAS
Crews is back with the Nationals after opening the season at AAA, and has gone 2-8 with 2 K’s across his first two games back in the big leagues. Crews struggled mightily across his first two MLB seasons, slashing .211/.282/.352 across 454 PA’s. His peripherals weren’t all that bad, as his 22.5% K% was acceptable, and he hit the ball decently hard, he just wasn’t able to square up with a LD% of 13.7%. The counting stats are there, as he compiled 13 HR’s and 29 SB’s across his first 116 games, so if he could just get on base a bit more often, he could be very relevant in fantasy.
Ketel Marte, 2B, ARI
Marte had a big day against the Giants on Wednesday, going 3-3 with a double, a HR, and a BB. He got off to a sluggish start this season, but he has now homered in back-to-back games and gone 8-18 over his last 4 contests. Marte is still hitting just .235 with a .413 SLG, numbers that are well below his typical levels, but he continues to make excellent contact (16.0% K%) and hit the ball hard (47.9% HardHit%). His .289 xBA and .470 xSLG indicate that it has mostly been back luck for Marte in the early going, and we should anticipate seeing his typical contributions for the remainder of the season.
Randy Arozarena, OF, SEA
Arozarena had a great all-around day against the White Sox on Wednesday, going 1-2 with a HR, 2 RBI, 3 runs scored, and 2 SB’s in the ballgame. His BA is up to a lofty .302 for the season, to go along with 5 HR’s and 14 SB’s through 51 games. He’s been a pleasant surprise from the BA department this season, as he’s never hit north of .275 over a full season. However, he’s been a disappointment from a power perspective, as he’s on pace to miss the 20 HR mark for the first time since 2020. The BA will almost certainly come down as he’s currently riding a .385 BABIP, although his K% is a few notches lower than in the past couple of seasons. As far as the power is concerned, it comes down to hitting more balls in the air; his 24.1% FB% would be a career-low by far. He’s a must start in fantasy regardless, but it would be nice to see him get to 20-20 for the 6th straight season.
Tanner Bibee, SP, CLE
Bibee had a strong outing against the Tigers on Wednesday, allowing 1 ER in 8 IP, while striking out 5 and walking 1. That makes 3 straight quality starts for Bibee, who lowered his ERA for the season to 3.75. Over his last 7 starts, he has a shiny 2.59 ERA across 41.2 IP, however his xFIP during that stretch remains above 4.00. For the season, Bibee’s 7.80 K/9 and 3.15 BB/9 are both mediocre, and the worst marks of his career. Since his breakout 2024 campaign, his ERA and xFIP are both in the low 4.00’s, which makes you wonder if this is just who he is. He’s going alright at the moment, but he’s far from the ace he looked like two years ago.
