Juventus need creativity in midfield, so if Bernardo Silva won’t arrive, it’s reported they will target his Manchester City teammate Tijjani Reijnders or Real Madrid’s Brahim Diaz.
The Bianconeri have struggled to create scoring opportunities this season and Luciano Spalletti has made no secret of his disappointment with the options at his disposal.
The first choice had been Bernardo Silva as a free agent, but Atletico Madrid would now seem the be the hot favourites for his signature, especially if Juve fail to qualify for the Champions League.
Reijnders and Brahim Diaz on Juventus list
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Old Lady could instead turn towards one of his teammates at Manchester City, who is no stranger to Serie A.
Reijnders left Milan last summer for €55m plus bonuses, but after a strong start at the Etihad, he has increasingly struggled for regular playing time.
The Dutchman contributed seven goals and eight assists in 46 competitive appearances for Manchester City, but only 29 of those were in the starting XI, just once in the last 13 games.
It is noted that he could be available on a loan with obligation to buy for €40m, but the €7m per season salary is also a concern.
Another cheaper option is Brahim Diaz, who again is a former Milan player, albeit slightly less recent.
He was with the Rossoneri from 2020 to 2023, when returning to Real Madrid, and he is only under contract until June 2027.
