WWE hasrevealed which matches fans will see during the ESPN portion of Clash in Italy.

During the May 22 episode of SmackDown, WWE confirmed that the first hour of Clash in Italy will air on ESPN as part of the company’s growing relationship with the network. Along with the announcement, WWE also revealed the first matches scheduled for that ESPN broadcast window.

Roman Reigns’ World Heavyweight Championship match against Jacob Fatu will air during the first hour, as will Rhea Ripley’s WWE Women’s Championship defense against Jade Cargill. Those are two of the biggest matches currently announced for the event, making it clear WWE is loading up the ESPN portion of the show with major attractions right away.

Roman Reigns and Jacob Fatu are set to collide in a Tribal Combat match after weeks of escalating tension, while Rhea Ripley and Jade Cargill continue their heated rivalry over the Women’s Championship.

WWE has also already confirmed Cody Rhodes vs. Gunther for the Undisputed WWE Championship as part of the Clash in Italy lineup, though that match was not announced for the ESPN opening hour.

Confirmed matches airing during the first hour of Clash in Italy on ESPN:

  • World Heavyweight Championship — Tribal Combat: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Jacob Fatu
  • WWE Women’s Championship: Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Jade Cargill

WWE clearly is not easing viewers into Clash in Italy, because the company immediately stacked ESPN’s first hour with two massive title matches featuring some of the biggest stars in wrestling.

What do you think about WWE putting Roman Reigns vs. Jacob Fatu and Rhea Ripley vs. Jade Cargill on ESPN, and which match are you most excited to see? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
