Friday’s Reds game postponed, doubleheader on Saturday

The Cincinnati Reds game on Friday May 22, 2026 against the St. Louis Cardinals has been postponed. It is currently raining in in Cincinnati and the forecast says that it’s going to keep raining until Saturday morning just before the sun comes up. The Reds and Cardinals got ahead of things and just decided to let everyone know well ahead of time to not make their way to the ballpark.

The game will be made up on Saturday, May 23, 2026 as a part of a day-night doubleheader. Game 1 is scheduled for 1:10pm ET. Game 2 is scheduled to begin at 7:15pm ET.

Tonight’s game vs. the St. Louis Cardinals has been postponed and will be made up as the first game of a split doubleheader tomorrow, Saturday, May 23, 2026 at 1:10 PM. Fans holding tickets for tonight’s game may present their same ticket for the make-up game scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday May 23, 2026 at 1:10 PM, with no exchange necessary.

Gates will open for the make-up game for Season Ticket Members at 11:40 AM and the general public at 12:10 PM.

The timing of the originally scheduled game for Saturday, May 23, 2026 at 7:15 PM remains unchanged. Gates will open for that game for Season Ticket Members at 5:15 PM and the general public at 5:45 PM.

The current forecast for Saturday suggests that the two teams should be able to play both games as once the rain subsides in the morning it’s just going to remain cloudy the rest of the day but with little chance of rain.
