Ethan Page has a major Intercontinental Championship opportunity ahead of him, and WWE officials already seem impressed with what he has done since joining the company.
WrestleVotes took to Twitter and revealed that Page has been well received internally since arriving in WWE in 2024. A source described him as respectful and detail-oriented behind the scenes, with that approach carrying over into his work on television.
“On the day of the biggest WWE match of his career to date, it’s worth noting how well received Ethan Page has been internally since arriving in WWE back in 2024. A source once described Page as extremely respectful and detail-oriented behind the scenes, something that many feel has translated onto television throughout his time in NXT, AAA, and now Monday Night Raw.”
WrestleVotes also noted that regardless of whether Ethan Page wins the title, people spoken to believe he has put himself in a strong position moving forward.
“Regardless of tonight’s outcome, those spoken to believe Page has positioned himself very well moving forward, especially considering how quickly he’s risen in a relatively short amount of time.”
Page became the number one contender for the Intercontinental Championship on the April 20 episode of RAW after defeating Je’Von Evans. Rusev’s distraction gave Page the opening he needed, and he capitalized with Twisted Grin to secure the win.
Now, Page is set to challenge Penta for the men’s Intercontinental Championship on the May 23, 2026 edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event. Whether he leaves with the title or not, this update makes it clear WWE sees value in what he brings both on-screen and behind the scenes.
