One day after New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart introduced President Donald Trump at a rally in New York on Friday, linebacker Abdul Carter questioned his teammate on social media.
“Thought this s— was AI, what we doing man,” Carter wrote in a post on X.

Dart, who was drafted in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft alongside Carter, spoke at the rally at Rockland Community College in Suffern, N.Y.
The 23-year-old Dart walked out to the instrumental music of “Eye of the Tiger” by Survivor and opened his speech by beginning a “Go Big Blue” chant with the crowd before saying, “What an honor, what a privilege it is to be here,” and then introducing Trump.
Trump greeted Dart with a handshake and a hug, and later called Dart a “future Hall of Famer,” saying the quarterback star “has a lot of talent,” “is a beautiful guy,” and has “legs like tree trunks.”
Trump called on Dart throughout his speech when discussing policy, including banning transgender athletes from competing in women’s sports.
“I’m looking at Jaxson,” Trump said. “I’d like to know, is there any woman in the audience that thinks they can tackle that guy? Because I’d like to meet you. I’d like to shake your hand. I don’t know. Jaxson, you think you can play against women OK?”
“Don’t get involved Jaxson,” Trump added. “Don’t answer that question.”
The Giants declined to comment on the situation.
New Orleans Saints defensive end Cam Jordan also quoted a post on X with the video of Dart, writing, “sounds (about) Ole Miss to me,” referring to Dart’s alma mater.
A former Penn State linebacker, Carter started 17 games as a rookie, tallying 43 tackles and four sacks for the Giants, who finished the 2025 season 4-13.
Dart assumed the starting job during Week 4 and totaled 2,272 yards and 15 touchdowns against five interceptions. He also rushed for 487 yards and nine touchdowns.
