Rockies’ Antonio Senzatela emerging as highly coveted bullpen arm ahead of deadline

Colorado Rockies reliever Antonio Senzatela’s trade value continues to gain more buzz following his dominant 4-0 record, 1.13 ERA, and 0.78 WHIP on the season. As well, he’s sported a 2.61 FIP, 26 strikeouts, eight walks, and 1.9 WAR.

Senzatela is in the final year of his five-year, $50.5 million contract, which features a club option for 2027. As an incredibly effective multi-inning weapon, Senzatela’s value has gained more attention since converting to a bullpen role.

As well, he is owed the remainder of his $12 million 2026 salary. The contract entails a $14 million club option for 2027. The Rockies have the financial support to eat up some of these costs with the hope of a premium prospect in return.

With the Rockies sitting in last place in the NL West, he is being recognized as a seamless fit for contending teams looking to strengthen their pitching.
