The made in the UK Restrap Switch Rack was originally designed to be compatible with thru-axle-equipped bikes. This meant the riders running older frames without thru-axles weren’t able to use it. Newly updated, the direct mount kit allows riders to use frame mounts. This kit is available as an accessory for current rack owners or can be purchased as part of a whole rack for new customers. No longer is the Switch Rack ecosystem available only to those running modern thru-axle bikes; now everybody can use it, no matter which era their bike comes from.
Updated Switch Rack Direct Mount Specs
- Mounts to the thru-axle or frame mounts using the direct mount adapter kit
- 64mm spaced bolting on the rack legs for cages, Restrap Switch Panniers or
- any other compatible accessories
- Top bar will be compatible with Restrap Switch ecosystem new products
- High Grade 7075-T6 aluminium 12mm diameter axles in 1mm, 1.5mm and
- 1.75mm thread pitch options
- Compatible with 142mm and 148mm Boost spacing
- Spare axles available separately
- Compatibility with UDH and Transmission hangers/mechs (spare parts
- available separately)
- 25mm velcro strap to fit all seat post sizes and shapes
- Quick flip system provides maximum wheel clearance across all bike sizes
- ISO tested up to 30kg load
- Lightweight construction of just 395g
