Kevin Knight shocked the AEW audience at the end of Double or Nothing 2026 by attacking Darby Allin immediately after the AEW World Championship main event.
The show closed after MJF defeated Allin to win the AEW World Championship for a third time in a brutal, physically draining match. Following the bell, Allin was placed on a stretcher as MJF stood over him holding the championship high in celebration.
As Allin was being removed from the arena, TNT Champion Kevin Knight rushed to the ring, forcing MJF to retreat up the ramp. Knight appeared ready to confront the new champion, climbing the ropes and shouting toward him from the ring.
However, the situation took an unexpected turn.
Instead of helping Allin, Knight climbed to the top rope and delivered a frog splash onto the stretchered Allin, leaving the audience and even MJF visibly stunned by the sudden attack.
The moment came after a recent show of respect between Knight and Allin. On the go-home episode of AEW Dynamite/Collision, Knight had stated that Allin was the only person he fully trusted to represent AEW against MJF. Allin had also recently defeated Knight’s tag team partner, Mike Bailey, further tying their stories together ahead of the pay-per-view.
Knight’s post-match betrayal now raises major questions about his alignment and intentions moving forward, adding a final shock to an already chaotic Double or Nothing 2026 main event.
