Vasiliy Lomachenko’s Next Fight Faces WBO Delay | Boxing Social

According to reports from Mike Coppinger at The Ring, Vasiliy Lomachenko’s next fight is set for later this year. However, the WBO is not making it easy. The sanctioning body has told Team Lomachenko that Emanuel Navarrete must first settle unfinished business with Charly Suarez. Their controversial No Contest earlier this year means Navarrete has obligations to fulfil before Lomachenko’s next fight can be confirmed.

Lomachenko’s Next Fight: Free Agency and Plans Confirmed

Lomachenko entered free agency earlier this month after his promotional contract with Top Rank expired on May 12, 2026. Furthermore, his longtime manager Egis Klimas confirmed the comeback plans to ESPN on May 13, 2026. Klimas stated that Lomachenko intends to return to the squared circle. Notably, reports claim the former three-weight world champion is only interested in marquee fights — not tune-up bouts.

What’s Lomachenko’s Next Fight Going to Be?

Meanwhile, Gervonta Davis has also been mentioned as a possible opponent. Nevertheless, after two years out of the ring, the big question around Lomachenko’s next fight remains. What version of Lomachenko would actually come back?
