UFC commentator Jon Anik has given his thoughts on Ronda Rousey potentially making her return to the promotion.
As we know, Ronda Rousey made her long-awaited return to mixed martial arts last weekend with a dominant and quick win over Gina Carano. While Ronda made it clear in the aftermath that she didn’t want to compete again in the sport, we certainly live in a ‘never say never’ era.

Rousey achieved some wonderful things throughout the course of her prime but at this point, it’s hard to say whether or not she would be able to have any consistent success at the elite level, and by that, we of course mean the UFC.
In a recent podcast, the aforementioned Jon Anik weighed in on how he believes Rousey could fare if she made her return.
Anik’s view on Rousey possibly returning to UFC
“Can’t Ronda Rousey get takedowns against a high-level, modern-day fighter and get to a place where she can grab an arm or a neck?” Anik said on his “Anik & Florian Podcast” this week. “I mean, am I crazy? Because a lot of people think they’d be favored to beat Ronda Rousey right now.”
“Who knows? Maybe at (145 pounds) she comes back in a superfight against somebody like Holly Holm, who certainly is ageless,” Anik said. “There’s some value there. Not to suggest there wasn’t some value in this (Carano fight), but I just would be curious to see how she would do against the UFC top 10. Not to suggest that she’d be ready for Kayla Harrison or Amanda Nunes, but I am wildly curious to see how she would do against some of those other fighters.”
