A goal from Anne-Sophie Vanden Borre was enough to give Gantoise their seventh Belgian women’s title and their fifth in six years.
She struck from a 26th minute penalty corner in the second leg of the final against KHC Dragons, a clever move back to the injector, to settle matters 1-0 in the game and 3-2 on aggregate.
It means they qualify for next year’s EHL FINAL8 while Dragons will make their EHL Women’s debut in the FINAL12 stage
The narrow win followed a thrilling first leg on Saturday in Wavre in which Dragons took the lead in the fourth minute through Alix Marien.
Ambre Ballenghien’s backhand levelled matters at half-time and they went ahead late on through Romanie Verhaege only for Maxime Verboven to deflect in for 2-2.
