Indian star batter Virat Kohli has become the fourth batter to have completed 27,000 runs in international cricket on Monday, during the second Test against Bangladesh in Green Park Stadium Kanpur.
Kohli completed 27,000 runs and joined a special club including Sachin Tendulkar, Ricky Ponting and Kumar Sangakkara.
Kohli has also broken Tendulkar’s record to become the fastest batter to reach 27,000 runs in 594 innings, which is 29 innings faster than Sachin. Sangakkara had reached this milestone in 648th innings and Ponting reached the mark in 650th inning.
