WWE Announces Return Of King & Queen Of The Ring Tournaments During 5/25 RAW

The WWE Monday Night Raw on May 25 went down at the Schottenstein Center in Columbus, Ohio. The company has a lot on its plate, and a long-standing tradition will start again next week.

LA Knight made his way out to the ring on RAW this week with a big pop in the Buckeye State. During his promo, he revealed that WWE will start their King and Queen of the Ring Tournaments next week. He staked his claim in the big win, but then he was joined by Jimmy Uso in the ring.

The winner of the King & Queen of the Ring Tournaments will get a shot at top titles. Only time will tell who pulls off the big win, but everyone in the tournament are likely going to have their eyes on making history.

The King of the Ring tournament goes way back in WWE history, starting in 1985 before becoming a pay-per-view staple in 1993. It has helped launch some huge runs, especially “Stone Cold” Steve Austin in 1996, when his win led to the Austin 3:16 promo. Other past winners include Bret Hart, Owen Hart, Triple H, Kurt Angle, Edge, Brock Lesnar, Booker T, Sheamus, and Gunther.

The Queen of the Ring side is much newer. WWE introduced it in 2021 as the Queen’s Crown tournament, with Zelina Vega winning the first one. It later became Queen of the Ring, matching the men’s tournament name. Past winners include Jade Cargill and Nia Jax.

The 2026 WWE King & Queen of the Ring finals will take place on June 27, 2026, at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The tournament finals are being held alongside WWE Night of Champions.
