Key Insights on Most Expensive Spells in IPL by Indian

Mohammed Shami has bowled the most expensive figures among Indian bowlers in the IPL. He bowled a wicketless spell for 75 runs for SRH against PBKS in 2025.

Shami’s figures of 0 for 75 is the second-most expensive spell by any bowler in the league.

Mohit Sharma’s figures of 0 for 73 for GT against DC are the most expensive by an Indian in an away IPL game.

Arshdeep Singh is the only Indian bowler to concede 60 or more runs each in three IPL innings.

Yuzvendra Chahal has delivered the most expensive spell by an Indian spinner in the IPL. He gave away 62 runs for nought for RR against SRH in 2024.

Notably, no other Indian spinner has conceded 60-plus runs in an IPL innings.

Kuldeep Yadav has bowled the most expensive four-wicket haul in the IPL, having leaked 55 runs for DC against SRH in 2024.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Shami are the two Indian bowlers to concede 50 or more runs in nine innings each in the IPL.

Anshul Kamboj has recorded the most expensive economy rate in an IPL innings (minimum 12 balls bowled). He had an economy of 23.62 while conceding 63 runs for zero wickets in 2.4 overs for CSK against LSG in 2026. Kamboj also holds the unwanted record for conceding most sixes in a single IPL season (2026).
