If you’re a fan of Enzo & Cass, and miss what they did in WWE many moons ago, you may be in luck. There was word previously that WWE had interest in bringing the duo back after Amore was spotted at the WWE Performance Center and word got around that Big Bill’s contract with AEW would be coming up soon.
Well, Fightful Select brings new word that promoters are being told that Enzo isn’t taking bookings he normally would. The safe assumption, and one they are apparently all going with, is that he is WWE bound and that’s why his schedule is rapidly clearing up.
Cass, meanwhile, is still contracted to AEW but the word remains that his deal will be up soon enough, like in “the next few weeks.” That leaves the door wide open for a reunion that always made sense once Amore’s legal issues cleared up and he seemed to grow up enough to revisit his potential as a player in WWE.
Fightful also said both men have maintained good relationships with producers at the company. All signs point to one of the most popular tag teams in recent memory getting the chance to run it back. We’ll see if they can recapture the magic.
