TETLOW RETIRES FROM GREAT BRITAIN

Great Britain defenceman Josh Tetlow has announced his retirement from international ice hockey.

The 28-year-old made 38 appearances for GB at Olympic Qualifiers and World Championship tournaments.

His final game was last night’s match against Germany at the Swiss Life Arena where he was named Player of the Game for another impressive performance in GB colours.

Tetlow made his debut in 2021 in Riga, Latvia and has played in the world’s top division on four occasions.

His two tournaments in Division IA – in Nottingham in 2023 and Romania in 2025 – saw him win two gold medals and in the process help lead GB to promotion.

Tetlow said: “It has been an honour to represent Great Britain and I have loved every moment of it.

“We had our ups and down but through it all – whoever has been in the squad – we have all stuck together.

“That’s what’s so special about Great Britain – we are a team on and off the ice and that has been crucial in our recent success over the past decade.

“To win medals – and also compete at the top level of world ice hockey – has been so special and created memories I will never forget.”

Congratulations on a fantastic international career Josh!
