WWE returns to Europe for an extended tour, which sees top Superstars heading to Turin for Clash in Italy. Clash in Italy takes place at the Inalpi Arena this Saturday, May 31st. As like many WWE PLES, the Clash in Italy card has just five matches. However, this will be one of the more star-studded cards, especially after the critically panned Backlash PLE. WWE will air the first hour of Clash in Italy on ESPN before moving the rest of the card onto the ESPN Plus app. Now, we can confirm the opening matches for Clash in Italy to air live on ESPN.
Full Clash In Italy Card
WWE is going all-out for Clash in Italy. This PLE in Turin, Piedmont, Italy, will feature five matches, including four Championships on the line.
The final Clash in Italy card is:
- Tribal Combat for the WWE World Championship (If Jacob Fatu loses, he will serve Roman Reigns): Roman Reigns (C) vs. Jacob Fatu
- Undisputed WWE Championship Match: Cody Rhodes (C) vs. Gunther
- WWE Women’s Championship Match: Rhea Ripley (C) vs. Jade Cargill
- “The Biggest Rematch of All-Time:” Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi
- WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship Match: Becky Lynch (C) vs. Sol Ruca
This international PLE will feature many rematches, including 2 from WrestleMania and one from this past week’s Saturday Night’s Main Event. One of those WrestleMania rematches is Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi.
The Beast Incarnate allegedly retired at WrestleMania 42. This match was shown live on ESPN during the first hour of WrestleMania 42 Sunday.
While ESPN loves having a legitimate athlete like Brock Lensar on its screens, he will not be in the first two matches of Clash in Italy. So, WWE fans must see The Ruler and The Conquerer collide on the ESPN app.
Which Matches from Clash In Italy Will Air on ESPN?
If you have ESPN as part of your cable package and haven’t updated to their streaming service, you can still get in on some of the Clash in Italy action.
ESPN will show one hour of Clash in Italy on its cable network, featuring two matches:
- Undisputed WWE Championship Match: Cody Rhodes (C) vs. Gunther
- WWE Women’s Championship Match: Rhea Ripley (C) vs. Jade Cargill
It’s unknown which match will kick off the show, but it’s heavily rumored to be the Undisputed WWE Title Match. Oba Femi vs. Brock Lesnar is expected to start the Clash in Italy on the ESPN+ service in hopes of ESPN fans migrating over. Therefore, it’s believed that Tribal Combat may close out the show.
Luckily, Logan Paul wasn’t booked for this event. The Maverick was injured on Saturday Night’s Main Event, causing WWE to change Tag Title plans.
