QT Marshall appears to have avoided a serious injury scare coming out of AEW Double or Nothing.
According to Fightful Select, sources backstage at AEW Dynamite said Marshall looked fine after Sunday’s event and is not expected to miss any upcoming bookings despite the nasty fall he took during the Buy In pre-show.
The scary moment happened during the ten-man tag match when Marshall slipped off the top rope after Vita Coco Water had been splashed onto it. The slip sent him crashing hard to the floor outside the ring in a moment that immediately had fans worried. Marshall was helped to the back after the fall and did not return for the post-match angle that followed the bout.
Following the pay-per-view, Tony Khan addressed concerns about Marshall’s condition and said he was doing okay.
“QT’s gonna be okay. Thanks for asking.”
The situation easily could have turned much worse considering the way Marshall landed on the outside floor. Wrestling fans have seen seemingly routine slips lead to major injuries before, especially around the ropes, so the fact that Marshall escaped without a lengthy absence is a huge relief for both AEW and the wrestler himself.
Do you think AEW should be more careful about situations involving wet ropes and ringside hazards after the QT Marshall scare? Let us know in the comments.
