Is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 heading to Nintendo Switch 2? GameWatcher looks at the facts.
Another year, another Call of Duty, but in the wake of a decline for the series in 2025, things need to change, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 looks to shake things up with a Korea-based campaign and a host of revisions to its multiplayer component, including the return of extraction shooter mode DMZ and fan favourite Gun Game (with a new map-based twist).
But you know what would be a really good way for the series to shake things up? Put Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 on Nintendo Switch 2.
It’s been a long time since Call of Duty graced a Nintendo console. Thirteen years ago, in fact, when the bobbins Call of Duty: Ghosts came to Wii U. But things change, and this gen, Nintendo’s console is a lot closer to the competition in terms of power, so a Call of Duty game being released on Nintendo Switch 2 seems like a no-brainer. Especially with that growing userbase.
But is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 actually coming to Nintendo Switch 2?

It was obvious that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 would be coming to PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, but a Nintendo Switch 2 release was a bit of an unknown.
Well, now we know for sure that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will be heading to Nintendo Switch 2 alongside the other platforms when it launches on October 23, 2026.
So while it’s unfortunate PS4 and Xbox One players will be left behind this time around, Call of Duty has gained a new platform to help keep its player numbers high.
