Caitlin Clark’s health has remained one of the biggest talking points surrounding the Indiana Fever this season. Considering what happened last year, it is quite understandable.
A wave of injuries limited the two-time All-Star to just 13 games in 2025. As a result, any appearance on the injury report immediately grabs attention around the league and among Fever fans. That was the case again Wednesday when Clark was listed as probable ahead of Indiana’s road matchup against the Golden State Valkyries.
The designation sparked legitimate concerns among Fever faithful, especially given how dominant Clark has looked to begin the season.

Through five appearances, the Fever guard is averaging career highs of 23.8 points and 9.0 assists per game while continuing to operate as the engine of Indiana’s offense. She has already recorded her 12th career game with at least 20 points and 10 assists, the most such performances in WNBA history. Indiana enters Thursday night’s game with a 4-2 record and third in the standings after winning three straight.
Hours before tip off, head coach Stephanie White addressed the situation directly on Wednesday and made clear the probable tag is more procedural than medical.
“Just to make sure that there’s clarity and no issues with league policy, I think that we will,” White said. “I think you can expect to see it probable going forward” (via Indy Star Sports’ Chloe Peterson).
Asked Steph White on CC’s probable injury report status and what it may be going forward:

Clark’s only absence this season came on May 20 against the Portland Fire. The issue was initially tied to a back concern before later being clarified as a load management decision rather than a structural injury. That incident created some scrutiny for the Fever regarding league injury reporting procedures.
The Fever face the Valkyries at 10pm ET, with coverage on Amazon Prime. Clark’s status is still to be determined and all eyes will be on the Indiana’s final injury report.
