O’Shaquie Foster vs Raymond Ford – Big Fight Preview & Predictions

O’Shaquie Foster defends his WBC super featherweight world title in a grudge clash against former world champion, Raymond Ford in Houston, Texas on Saturday.

Foster faces Ford at the Fertitta Center, live on DAZN worldwide.

The pair have traded words throughout the build-up and their rivalry spilled over on Tuesday, with Foster shoving his rival as they came face-to-face for the first time in fight week.

Ford returned the favour at Thursday’s final press conference, pushing his compatriot, with the pair then separated by security from any further altercation.

Foster (24-3, 12 KOs) is in his second reign as WBC super featherweight world champion, having regained the belt after dropping it in a contentious split decision defeat to Robson Conceicao.

The 32-year-old beat Conceicao in an immediate rematch and was set to defend his belt against Stephen Fulton Jr in December.

However, after Fulton missed weight, the pair instead fought for the WBC interim lightweight title, with Foster winning comfortably on points.

The Texan relinquished the belt in order to keep hold of the 130 pound belt he defends on Saturday.

Ford (18-1-1, 8 KOs) previously reigned as WBA featherweight world champion, scoring a dramatic final round stoppage over Otabek Kholmatov in 2024 to claim the crown.

‘Savage’ was beaten by split decision in his first defence against Nick Ball, a defeat which promoted him to move up in weight.

The 27-year-old New Jersey native has won three straight since, outpointing Abraham Nova in his last outing in August.

Prediction: I expect Foster to retain his belt by decision.

Sheehy faces Teran

Rising lightweight, Charlie Sheehy looks to continue his unbeaten run when he faces Nike Theran.

Sheehy (12-0, 7 KOs) is undefeated in 12 professional bouts, while Theran (20-2, 14 KOs) retired after seven rounds against Justin Pauldo, as the pair shared a card in November.

Prediction: Sheehy should stop Theran.

Jones returns

Olympic bronze medalist, Omari Jones (6-0, 4 KOs) is back in action and the super welterweight prospect can snap the undefeated record of Diego Osuna Zuniga (9-0, 6 KOs) with a points victory.

Remaining Undercard

Former world title challenger, Miguel Flores (29-5-1, 13 KOs) should have enough to overcome Javon Woodard Jr (3-3, 2 KOs) over the distance at featherweight.

Newark southpaw, Zaquin Moses (6-0, 3 KOs) should remain undefeated with a points victory over Travis Crawford (7-6, 2 KOs) at 130lbs.

18-year-old super featherweight prospect, Julian Montalvo (6-0, 4 KOs) can become the first man to halt Maximus Moya (3-3, 2 KOs) and Frank Espinoza (3-0, 3 KOs) can do the same against Bryce Blackwell (4-2, 1 KO) at middleweight.

Jahyden Franklin Britton (8-0, 5 KOs) can halt Najee West (9-2, 4 KOs) in their super middleweight clash.
