The Chicago Bears were one of the hottest teams in the NFL last season, finishing with an 11-6 record and winning the NFC North title for the first time since 2018. Caleb Williams took a big jump in production under first-year head coach Ben Johnson, and one NFL insider believes the superstar quarterback will take another big step in development for the 2026-27 campaign.
During a segment on the NFL Network, insider Stacey Dales explained all the reasons why she believes Williams and the Bears offense will be a juggernaut next season. Between the production from last season, learning from their mistakes, and adding more talent to the roster in the offseason, Dales seemingly believes Chicago will be a problem.
“We saw an exponential jump last season with this offense under Ben Johnson and the development of Caleb Williams,” said Dales. “I expect another exponential jump… When you talk about where they’re at, the confidence is already soaring… I’m buying stock in this entire Chicago offense. I expect their numbers to go up.”

There is a lot to be excited about for the Bears. Especially considering Williams still has room to grow as a player in the NFL. The 24-year-old quarterback finished last season with 3,942 passing yards, 388 rushing yards, and 30 total touchdowns (27 passing, 3 rushing) while completing 58.1% of his pass attempts. Cleaning up his accuracy will do wonders for Chicago’s offense.
While things are exciting for the franchise, there are still some concerns to at least acknowledge for the upcoming season. The Bears lost their starting center after Drew Dalman surprisingly retired after five seasons in the league. Additionally, starting left tackle Ozzy Trapilo is expected to miss most of next season after suffering a ruptured patellar tendon in the playoffs.
But to combat those adversities, the front office acquired Garrett Bradbury out of free agency, who has seven years of experience playing center. Additionally, the Bears also signed Jedrick Willis Jr. to likely step in as the starting left tackle.
