Santino Marella being pitched for WWE Clash in Italy just got a lot more interesting because he’s already in town ahead of the Premium Live Event.
On May 30, 2026, Marella was spotted in Turin, Italy, ahead of WWE Clash in Italy at the Inalpi Arena. He was seen alongside Bestya Wrestling CEO Alessandro Maria Bosio and Carlito, which immediately fueled speculation that WWE could actually use him during the event.
The timing is hard to ignore. WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select previously reported that there had been a pitch within WWE creative for Santino to appear at Clash in Italy, though it was unclear whether the idea moved beyond the discussion stage.
Santino appearing in Turin makes the possibility feel much more realistic, especially given his history with WWE and his strong connection to Italy. His WWE debut famously happened in Milan, where he answered Vince McMahon’s open challenge and defeated Umaga to win the Intercontinental Championship in his first match.
Marella is currently with TNA Wrestling as the on-screen Director of Authority, but WWE and TNA have continued showing signs of cooperation through talent appearances and crossover discussions. That makes a possible cameo far less impossible than it might have seemed in the past.
Clash in Italy already features major names like Cody Rhodes, GUNTHER, Roman Reigns, Rhea Ripley, Jade Cargill, Brock Lesnar, and Oba Femi. If Santino appears, it would give the Turin crowd a nostalgia moment tied directly to one of the most memorable Italian-themed debuts in WWE history.
Santino Marella being spotted in Turin does not confirm he will appear at Clash in Italy, but it definitely gives the earlier creative pitch more weight. At this point, fans will be watching closely to see whether WWE pulls the trigger.
