With the Premier League season now firmly behind them, Manchester United boss Michael Carrick will already be looking at how he can finetune his squad ahead of next term.
The Englishman was appointed as the Red Devils’ permanent manager earlier this month, having taken caretaker charge of the club at the start of the year following Ruben Amorim’s dismissal.
Carrick oversaw marked improvement during his time in charge this season, but his side will have to contend with the Champions League next time after qualifying for the competition.
Ahead of the summer transfer window opening, it has now emerged that the Premier League club are interested in a Serie A star, who may be open to the idea of a move to Manchester.
As per TEAMtalk, AC Milan winger Rafael Leao could be interested in a move to Manchester United this summer.

The report claims that the Portugal international has made it clear to Milan that he intends to leave the club this summer, despite have two years remaining on his current contract.
Leao, 26, joined the Serie A giants from French outfit Lille in 2019, having previously played for Sporting CP in his homeland.
Since moving to Italy, the winger has scored 80 goals and registered 65 assists in 291 matches for the club across all competitions.
He has previously been linked with a move away from the club, though, and the report suggests that he has now made it clear to his current employers that he wishes to embark on a new challenge.
United are said to be aware of the player’s possible availability this summer, with Leao’s representatives having been actively searching for a possible next destination.
