Liv Morgan Explains Why She Entered Queen of the Ring Tournament Despite Being Champion

Liv Morgan is already Women’s World Champion, but that isn’t stopping her from chasing Queen of the Ring.

During the WWE Clash in Italy post-show, Morgan explained why she entered the 2026 Queen of the Ring tournament despite already holding championship gold. Instead of backing away from the field, Morgan made it clear that she wants even more. Morgan first pointed out that the other women in the tournament may have had strong nights, but she believes they all share one thing in common.

“All these women had an incredible night—but you know what they all have in common? They’ve all been beaten by Liv Morgan.”

Morgan then addressed criticism of her title reign, saying the complaints only pushed her to enter the tournament and chase another major accomplishment. That criticism, according to Morgan, is exactly why she wants Queen of the Ring on top of her championship.

“So I was like, okay, let me expand upon this. It had me thinking about all the people who say Morgan isn’t a good champion—Liv Morgan doesn’t defend her title, Liv Morgan isn’t worthy of being champion. So you know what that made me think? That made me think I am entering the Queen of the Ring tournament because I want it all. I want it all.”

Morgan then sent a direct message to anyone doubting her place at the top of WWE’s women’s division: “Because I am the greatest Women’s World Champion of all time. You can cry about it—but if I were you, I’d watch me.”

WWE revealed the 2026 Queen of the Ring bracket during the Clash in Italy post-show, and Morgan’s path starts with a major first-round match against Becky Lynch. The tournament also includes Alexa Bliss vs. Chelsea Green, Sol Ruca vs. Lyra Valkyria, Charlotte Flair vs. Jade Cargill, Roxanne Perez vs. Iyo Sky, Giulia vs. Lash Legend, Bayley vs. Raquel Rodriguez, and Jacy Jayne vs. Kiana James.

The Queen of the Ring finals are set for June 27 at WWE Night of Champions in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with a SummerSlam title shot on the line. Morgan may already have a championship, but her comments make it clear she wants the crown too.

Liv Morgan entering the tournament gives Queen of the Ring an interesting twist, especially with the Women’s World Champion trying to prove she can dominate the entire field. Now, all eyes are on whether she can back up her words and get past Becky Lynch in the opening round.
