At the Fertitta Centre in Houston, Texas, O’Shaquie Foster defended his WBC super featherweight title, as he took a majority decision victory against Raymond Ford over twelve rounds.
Ford’s sole loss prior to facing Foster came to Nick Ball in 2024.
Since winning the WBC belt back in a rematch split decision win against Robson Conceicao in November 2024, Foster (25-3, KO12) had only been seen in the ring once more, winning the interim WBC lightweight crown with a wide points win against Stephen Fulton in San Antonio in December 2025.
Ford (18-2-1, KO8) had won three on the spin since losing his WBA crown in 2024 to Nick Ball, all at ten-round level, the last a points success over Abraham Nova last August.
The opening round in this one was eventful, with Foster on the attack before tossing Ford out of the ring towards the end of the frame.
Ford recovered well from the shock, and landed a crisp combination in the second, and although Ford went on the attack in round three, Ford replied well, working to good effect to head and body.
Foster was punching in multiples, and Foster landed a decent uppercut in round five, and some good stuff on the counter in the sixth.

The champion was starting to take over, far more active and on the front foot than his opponent, and in round eight, Ford was being outworked as Foster landed several combination shots.
Going into the championship rounds, Ford stopped the rot with a solid tenth, landing a counter right hook and attacking well to the body too.
That proved a false dawn, as Foster landed a huge left hook in the penultimate session that rocked Ford to his boots, and he kept pushing the pace as the contest went to the final bell.

A drawn scorecard of 114-114 was overruled by tallies of 118-110 and 116-112 as Foster kept hold of his title, and promptly called out Shakur Stevenson for a meeting later this year.
Remaining Undercard
In ten-round action on the undercard, Charlie Sheehy (13-0, KO8) remained unbeaten, as the super lightweight prospect scored a ninth-round stoppage win against Nike Theran (20-3, KO14).

Javon Woodard Jr (17-2, KO15) was also a winner inside the distance, decking Miguel Flores (29-6-1, KO13) three times before ending matters with an eighth-round knockout success.
The sole eight-rounder saw decorated amateur Omari Jones (7-0, KO4) bank another win, as the super welterweight won all eight frames against Diego Zuniga (9-1, KO6).
In six-rounders, Zaquin Moses (7-0, KO3) won all six rounds of his super featherweight meeting with Travis Crawford (7-7, KO2), and Julian Montalvo (7-0, KO5) won in four rounds against Maximus Moya (3-4, KO2), also at super featherweight.

Frank Espinoza (4-0, KO4) forced Bryce Blackwell (4-3, KO1) to retire after three rounds of their middleweight encounter, and Jahyden Franklin Britton (9-0, KO6) stopped Najee West (9-3, KO4) in four rounds at super middleweight.
