Adam Azim moved closer to a world title shot at Wembley Arena, as he blew away Steve Claggett in a third-round stoppage win in their super lightweight meeting.
Azim became the first man to stop Claggett in 15 years.
Azim (15-0, KO12) has been knocking on the door of world honours for some time, and had previously claimed European and IBO belts, and in his last outing, he halted Kurt Scoby in the final round of their meeting to win the vacant WBO intercontinental crown.

Claggett (40-9-2, KO28) came into this one on the back of a long and hard career, and had challenged for the WBO world title in 2024, routed on the cards by Teofimo Lopez.
Azim began sharply off a spiteful jab, and he jarred Claggett with a right uppercut in the opening round, bloodying the nose of the Canadian.

Azim upped the ante in the second, another right uppercut landing hard, and right at the end of the round, yet another right uppercut had Claggett wobbled, and a follow-up right had him on the canvas.

Claggett survived, but the end was nigh, and after a volley of unanswered punches in the third, the referee had rightly seen enough.

Juergen Uldedaj vs Austine Nnamdi
On the undercard, Juergen Uldedaj (22-1, KO8) retained his IBO cruiserweight title, taking a close points win against Belfast-based Austine Nnamdi (14-7, KO11).
Three identical scores of 115-113 were enough for the Albanian to keep hold of his belt.

Francesca Hennessy vs Aurora De Persio
Fran Hennessy (9-0, KO2) scored the second stoppage of her career, needing six rounds to retain her WBC Silber bantamweight title against Aurora De Persio (8-2, KO3).
Right at the start of the sixth, Hennessy went on the attack, and after a sustained two-fisted assault, the referee intervened.

Remaining Undercard
Joel Kodua (12-0, KO4) retained his English welterweight title, as he forced Will Harrison (8-1-2, KO0) to retire after eight rounds of battle, and in the sole six-rounder at heavyweight, Ergal Elezaj (6-0, KO2) stayed unbeaten with a fifth-round stoppage win against Dan Garber (12-8, KO2).

In four round affairs, Saquib Mehmood (3-0, KO1) halted the usually-durable Simas Volosinas (7-129, KO1) in the opener of their lightweight meeting, and heavyweight novice Derrick Osadolor (1-1, KO1) dropped Ryan Labourn (0-43-2) in the first round, before completing the job a round later.
At featherweight, Abdul Khan (15-0, KO4) decked Liam Fitzmaurice (0-16) three times en route to a second-round stoppage victory, and Oscar McCracken (6-0, KO0) won every session against Steven Wallace (0-10) in their welterweight contest.

Mohammad Bilal Ali (11-1, KO1) took a points win over Dale Arrowsmith (6-156-5, KO1) at super lightweight.
