The Green Bay Packers are monitoring injury developments around tight end Tucker Kraft and offensive lineman Zach Tom, with recent updates on both players offering some optimism about potential return timelines as the team continues to navigate offseason uncertainty involving Josh Jacobs.
Kraft is progressing steadily in his recovery, according to a post on X (formerly Twitter) from Weston Hodkiewicz.
“Matt LaFleur says he’s hopeful Tucker Kraft could be back by training camp or during training camp,” he wrote.
Kraft suffered an ACL injury early in the 2025 season, giving him a strong runway to target a Week 1 return this year. Head coach Matt LaFleur has indicated that the tight end has been putting in strong work during his recovery, according to reporting from atozsports.com.
Tucker Kraft and Zach Tom’s return boosts the Green Bay Packers Super Bowl hopes
The 25-year-old is a three-year NFL veteran who broke out in 2024 with 50 receptions for 707 yards and seven touchdowns. He was building on that momentum in the following season before his injury, recording 32 catches for 489 yards and six scores in just eight games.
For Tom, expectations for a Week 1 return are also viewed as encouraging, based on reporting from Wendell Ferreira of atozsports.com.

“He’s an excellent player, a very experienced player. I felt we were very adequate there when [Darian] Kinnard stepped in, and we have a number of bodies that can go play tackle. But whenever you lose guys like Zach Tom, you have to adjust, and I thought we did a nice job of doing that. Fortunately, he’ll be ready to roll as we get going. I give him a lot of credit, he fought his tail off to try to finish it out, and I’m very appreciative of that,” Packers GM Brian Gutekunst commented.
The Packers remain among the NFC contenders expected to push for a Super Bowl run, and that outlook becomes significantly stronger if Kraft and Tom are both healthy and playing at a high level.
