UFC heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall has explained why he considers Brock Lesnar to be his dream mixed martial arts opponent.
The curious case of Tom Aspinall. The English champ, who was once seen as the most exciting fighter in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, has been out of action for a while now due to injury. Alas, that doesn’t mean fans aren’t excited to hopefully see him make the walk again at some point in the future.

The heavyweight division has featured some pretty interesting characters over the years and that’s putting it lightly, but things aren’t quite as stacked in Aspinall’s era as they were once upon a time.
When talking about who would be a dream opponent for him during a recent interview, Aspinall had a pretty interesting answer.
Aspinall discusses hypothetical Lesnar showdown
“I would like to fight Brock Lesnar,” the current UFC heavyweight champion replied.
“I think that would be f—ing cool, wouldn’t it?
“Just because I grew up watching him when he was in the WWE.
“If we are talking freaky fights, that’s one that I would like.”

For Tom, the focus now is just on being able to get back to actually competing after the nasty eye injuries that he suffered at the hands of Ciryl Gane. Brock Lesnar, meanwhile, is currently in the midst of a feud with Oba Femi back in WWE, with many believing that either Femi or Gunther will wind up retiring him at SummerSlam in his home state of Minnesota this summer.
Whatever the case may be, we wouldn’t hold our breath on this collision happening anytime soon – but it’s nice to dream.
If this fight happened during the prime of both Aspinall and Lesnar, who do you believe would pick up the win and how? Let us know your thoughts on this in the comments below, BJPENN Nation!
