The Los Angeles Rams are looking to make the most of their championship window, and that means being aggressive when opportunities arise.

They’ve done exactly that by acquiring two-time Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett in exchange for Jared Verse, a 2027 first-round pick, and additional draft compensation.
Sportsbooks reacted accordingly. Rams Super Bowl odds have shortened from +750 to +550 following the blockbuster trade, further cementing Los Angeles as one of the top contenders to win Super Bowl 61.

Whether the price is justified remains to be seen, but oddsmakers clearly believe Garrett gives Los Angeles something it has lacked since Aaron Donald’s retirement: a defensive player capable of taking over a playoff game on his own.

49ers vs Rams Week 1 odds
The Super Bowl market wasn’t the only one impacted by the Garrett trade. Sportsbooks also adjusted the Week 1 line between the Rams and 49ers, with Los Angeles seeing an immediate bump following the acquisition.
According to Covers’ Jason Logan, Garrett’s arrival moved the Rams from -2.5 to as high as -3.5 against San Francisco, a significant adjustment considering non-quarterbacks rarely generate this type of movement on their own.
