Top Rumor of the Day: King of the Ring confusion
WWE has had a hard time keeping things straight over the past couple days when it comes to the King of the Ring tournament. Joe Tessitore announced an Oba Femi singles match as a first round tournament bout on the Clash in Italy post-show but that was obviously not the case. WWE later confirmed the first round will all be Fatal 4-Way matches.
Then, graphics were posted to WWE.com that showed Drew McIntyre and Sami Zayn replacing Talla Tonga and Ricky Saints. PW Insider and the Wrestling Observer have indicated it was all seemingly a simple error and they’ll be moving ahead with the original bracket.
There do not appear to be any plans for a Drew McIntyre return at this time, now that he wasn’t needed as a replacement for Jacob Fatu in Tribal Combat at Clash in Italy.
