Black Princesses captain Linda Owusu Ansah has received a late call-up to the Black Queens squad for the June FIFA Women’s international window.

The midfielder has been drafted into camp following the withdrawal of Alexandre Emefa Tay, who has been excused from the squad due to academic commitments.

Owusu Ansah’s inclusion is another significant step in the development of one of Ghana’s brightest young talents.

The former Ampem Darkoa Ladies player has established herself as a key figure for the Black Princesses, captaining Ghana’s U-20 side and earning praise for her leadership qualities and performances in midfield.

Her promotion to the senior national team comes at an exciting period in her career after recently completing a move to Canadian club AFC Toronto.

The call-up presents the youngster with an opportunity to impress Black Queens coach Kim Lars Björkegren as he continues to assess his options ahead of future competitions.

Owusu Ansah has already linked up with the squad in Accra and joined preparations for the upcoming international assignments.
