WWE quietly retires NXT championship

Fans have recently noted that the NXT Heritage Cup championship was removed from the champion section of WWE’s roster page, a change made as recently as the end of May 2026 per F4WOnline.

The company has not had the title featured on NXT programming since Tony D’Angelo tossed it off a bridge in July 2025, though Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo had been recognized as champion in the months that followed.

For all intents and purposes, Lorenzo’s reign either remains or officially ends at 345 days with the title, which was first introduced in 2020 for the NXT UK brand.
