Adam Cole’s future in wrestling is still up in the air, but The Young Bucks gave fans a positive update on where things stand.
Cole has been away from in-ring competition since AEW All In 2025 in Texas. At that event, he gave an emotional promo that left many fans wondering if he was stepping away from wrestling for good because of ongoing health issues.
Since then, there have not been many updates on Cole’s condition. That changed during a recent livestream on the Being The Elite YouTube channel, where Matt and Nick Jackson spoke about their longtime friend and how he is doing. Nick Jackson said Cole is taking things one step at a time, but he also made it clear there has been some improvement.
“We were just talking to him the other day. It’s step by step for him. He’s just trying to take it day by day, but he’s having improvements which is good.”
That is a promising sign for fans who have been waiting to hear anything new about Cole since his emotional exit from AEW programming. Matt Jackson also had nothing but praise for Cole, making it clear just how much he means to people behind the scenes.
“So, keep him in your thoughts and prayers. He’s, gosh, the best person I think I’ve ever met in the wrestling business without exaggeration. Number one. He’s the best.”
Cole has dealt with several injury setbacks in recent years, and there is still no word on whether he will be cleared to wrestle again. However, the update from The Young Bucks at least gives fans some reason to be hopeful.
For now, Cole appears focused on his recovery and taking things day by day. Whether that leads him back to the ring remains to be seen, but the fact that he is showing improvement is a good sign.
