The air is charged with optimism for the Chicago Bears following their promising campaign last season. With quarterback Caleb Williams leading the way, the Bears ruled the NFC North and snapped their four-year drought in the playoffs.
Chicago was among the top offensive teams, averaging 25.9 points and 369.2 yards.
Williams shone in his second year under center, creatively utilizing running backs D’Andre Swift and Kyle Monangai, wide receivers DJ Moore and Rome Odunze, and tight ends Colston Loveland and Cole Kmet, and it seems he has another dependable target in his back pocket.
The 24-year-old Williams guested on “New Heights,” and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce told him how much he loves watching Loveland and Kmet, describing them as “absolute dogs.”
“I got a third one now. You haven’t seen him,” replied Williams, catching Kelce by surprise.
“There’s more. There’s always more! We got a new guy, a new rookie. He’s built like the other guys also. He’s tall, he’s smooth, he’s a freak of nature, run block pass, block pass, catch, whatever we need. We got three of those now.”

The former Heisman Trophy winner was referring to tight end Sam Roush, whom the Bears drafted with the No. 69 pick out of Stanford.
While Roush is relatively unknown, Williams, who was featured on the cover of Madden NFL 27, is already “juiced” about the possibility of having a third tight end on the field, saying there is “nothing better.”
“We can drop back and put those guys in protection. We can also go 13-personnel and shift out,” added Williams. “We got guys who can run well and obviously catch well, that’s a big advantage for us.”
The 22-year-old Roush was named to the All-ACC Second Team last year.
Williams passed for 3,942 yards and 27 touchdowns last season, while Loveland led the Bears in receiving yards with 713.
