Ricochet has defended “finisher spam” after WWE Hall of Famer Booker T and Brad Gilmore criticized the use of excessive finishers in modern wrestling.
Ricochet joked about Dragon Ball Z and argued that multiple finishers can add suspense, since fans in some promotions wait for that one move to end matches, while varied finishes keep them guessing. He tweeted,
“Say you’ve never watched DragonBall Z without saying you’ve never watched DragonBall Z. 👑”
“I disagree. It gives more suspense. Because in other promotions we KNOW the match isnt gonna end until someone hits their ONLY move that ends the match. So everyone is just sitting and waiting until that one move, knowing the match isn’ t gonna end until that happens.”
Thekla has doubled down on her harsh comments about STARDOM after spitting on its logo on AEW Dynamite.
During a recent appearance on Highspots’ Virtual Gimmick Table, Thekla clarified that while she heard AEW might be apologizing to STARDOM, she does not regret her words and is ready to fight anyone who talks back.
The AEW Women’s World Champion said, “Well, I mean, they’re all dumb ******* obviously, and I think I’m biting the hand that used to feed me also. But at the same time, it’s like, yeah, yeah, **** that. They know. I’ve told it straight to their face that I don’t like a lot of the **** they do so, Taro Okada, he’s still gonna get his beating sooner or ******* later. Probably sooner since we’ve got Forbidden Door coming up… This time, I may have ****** it up a little bit because all of Japan is tweeting about me. I just looked at a message and I saw that AEW might be apologizing to STARDOM for the things I done did but, **** em. I’m gonna go over there and kick every single person’s ass who dares to talk **** back at me…”
