Sol Ruca’s first major test as Women’s Intercontinental Champion is now official as she’s set to defend her title on the June 8 edition of Monday Night Raw.
Adam Pearce took to Instagram and confirmed that Ruca will defend the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship against Lyra Valkyria on the June 8 episode of Monday Night RAW in Paris, France. That adds another title match to an already stacked episode.

The show already had Penta defending the Intercontinental Championship against Rey Mysterio, a King of the Ring qualifier with Seth Rollins, Je’Von Evans, Ricky Saints, and Talla Tonga, and a Queen of the Ring qualifier featuring Becky Lynch, Liv Morgan, Alexa Bliss, and Chelsea Green.
Now, Ruca vs. Valkyria gives RAW another championship bout and puts even more pressure on Ruca after her recent title win. With Paris getting two Intercontinental Title matches and two tournament qualifiers, WWE is clearly loading up the June 8 episode.
Sol Ruca’s title reign is already moving fast, and Lyra Valkyria is not an easy first challenger. If Ruca wants to prove her title win was no fluke, Monday Night RAW in Paris gives her the perfect chance to do it.
