Il Mattino reports that Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis has contacted Milan President Paolo Scaroni to obtain updates on the Massimiliano Allegri situation, as the Rossoneri have not yet released their former coach.
The tension between Allegri and Milan continues, as the Tuscan tactician is still under contract with Milan until 2027, but was sacked at the end of the campaign after failing to qualify for the Champions League.
Allegri tension with Milan as Napoli and De Laurentiis wait
Allegri has reached an agreement to become the new Napoli coach, but he is demanding a payout from the Rossoneri, which his former club is unwilling to grant.
According to Il Mattino, via TMW, Napoli owner De Laurentiis has contacted Milan President Scaroni to get an update on the situation.

According to the report, Scaroni insisted that an agreement between Milan and Allegri is just a matter of time, while De Laurentiis reiterated that Napoli don’t want to be involved in the dispute between the Rossoneri and their ex-coach.
Allegri has agreed to sign a two-year contract at the Stadio Maradona with a salary of €4.5m per season.
