Pure Velocity – Diamond Notes by Joe Boesch

Pure Velocity – Diamond Notes by Joe Boesch

The Brewers have talent, and his name is Jacob Misiorowski.

Misiorowski has speed, and his fastball was clocked at 103.7 MPH, which stuns hitters with his pure talent on the mound. He also just set an MLB record of 45 pitches clocked at 101-plus MPH, including the 103.7 MPH stunner he sent over the plate. For his record, Topps Now has an exclusive card for him.

His story goes like this:

When it comes to velocity, there’s Jacob Misiorowski, and then there’s everybody else. The righty set a new MLB record with 45 pitches of at least 101 mph in Milwaukee’s 7-1 win over Colorado, lowering his season ERA to 1.50 in the process. Misiorowski also fired a pitch of 103.7 mph in the third inning, the fastest by a starter since pitch tracking began (2008).

Until then, see you at the park.
