He expressed confidence in their continued success and encouraged them to maintain their momentum as they move forward in the tournament.

Match Summary of India vs Pakistan:

On a sluggish, low-bounce pitch, Pakistan struggled early, losing Feroza and Sidra during the powerplay. Omaima’s brief stay at the crease added to their woes, leaving Muneeba and Nida tasked with rebuilding the innings. Muneeba fell victim to Shreyanka’s extra bounce, while Nida showed resilience but kept losing partners at the other end.

Captain Fatima Sana briefly sparked hope with back-to-back boundaries but was dismissed by a stunning catch from Richa Ghosh. Syeda Aroob Shah contributed valuable runs alongside Nida, and a last-ball boundary from Nashra Sandhu pushed Pakistan to a total of 105. Arundhati Reddy stood out among India’s bowlers, claiming three crucial wickets to put her team in a strong position.

India successfully chased down a modest target of 106, though not without a few nervy moments. Their bowlers laid the foundation, with Arundhati Reddy delivering her career-best performance of 3/19. Other bowlers contributed key wickets, keeping Pakistan’s total in check. Despite losing Smriti Mandhana early, India ended the powerplay cautiously at 25/1.

Shafali Varma shifted gears afterward, nearly reaching a run-a-ball, while Jemimah Rodrigues found rhythm with her sweeps and reverse sweeps. Shafali departed after a strong start, and Fatima Sana’s double strike in consecutive balls created tension. However, Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur remained calm at one end, ensuring no last-minute drama. Although she suffered an injury near the finish, Sajana came in to complete the chase.
