Bourdais fastest in final night practice

Track action ahead of the 24 Hours of Le Mans concluded on Thursday night with the final one-hour Free Practice 4 session, seeing the #38 Cadillac top the session, after their loss of pole position in Hyperpole.

The #38 Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA Cadillac V-Series.R set the fastest time of the session, with Sébastien Bourdais posting a 3:26.843 lap at the chequered flag. This result came shortly after the #38 lost its pole position in the Hyperpole due to a pre-start procedure infringement, giving pole to the #15 BMW. Robin Frijns was second fastest in the #20 BMW, while Mike Conway completed the top three in the #7 Toyota.

In LMP2, Ben Barnicoat led the class in the #183 AF Corse with a best lap of 3:36.189. The #30 Duqueine Team finished second in class, ahead of the #37 CLX Motorsport entry.

Corvette topped the LMGT3 times with Jonny Edgar setting a 3:55.262 in the #33 TF Sport Corvette. The #34 Racing Team Turkey by TF Sport Corvette was second, while the #23 Heart of Racing Team Aston Martin completed the top three of this session.

The session ran without any major incidents or significant technical issues, giving teams a final opportunity to complete preparations before Saturday’s race start.
