The Knicks’ win has been tied to WWE’s Danhausen, as, after being cursed by the Superstar, the team would lose their next two games.
After being uncursed, the Knicks would win 13 games in a row, an all-time record, before going on to win the championship.
Following the team’s win, WWE wasted no time in releasing a shirt celebrating their win and Danhausen’s role in their victory.

This victory marks the Knicks’ third NBA Championship victory and their first championship win since 1973. The team also won in 1970.
