Two of Welsh rugby’s star overseas signings will face off against each other in the Super Rugby Pacific final next weekend.
New Ospreys signing Lalakai Foketi was outstanding for the Chiefs as they thrashed the Crusaders 49-12 in Hamilton on Saturday morning.
This morning Ereatara Enari, who has signed for the Dragons, made a big impact off the bench as the Hurricanes eased past the Blues 57-21 in Wellington.
Former Wallabies centre Foketi ripped the Crusaders to shreds with his explosive pace and explosive power coupled with his vision culminating in three try assists which is the joint most from any centre in a Super Rugby game since 2020.
Ospreys head coach Mark Jones has described the signing for Foketi as a game changer for the Welsh club and this is exactly the caliber of overseas player all four professional Welsh clubs should be signing
Jones has also recruited former Wallabies captain Liam Wright with the money saved from the departures of Wales stars Jac Morgan and Dewi Lake being put to good use.

According to the BBC the Ospreys are also lining up a move for Waratahs utility back Lawson Creighton as a replacement for Jack Walsh, who has signed for Montauban.
With regards to the Dragons, Enari made a big impact as a second-half replacement coming onto the field in place of All Blacks scrum-half Cam Roigard.
The 29-year-old is a livewire with his speed of service, box kicking and his pace off the mark carving the Blues open.
Enari also claimed a well-deserved try after a wonderful offload from the deck by Asafo Aumua from the deck.
The Dragons have a strong pool of scrum-halves with Wales international Rhodri Williams and the up and coming Che Hope also at the club.
In addition, the Scarlets are closing in on the signing of All Black cap Cullen Grace from the Crusaders.
The 26-year-old is a quality player who can cover the entirety of the backrow and has also played lock.
While overseas signings have drawn criticism in the past, these are all high-quality players who should raise standards in Wales while also aiding the development of young Welsh talent.
