His previous best ranking was No.13, but he is now the only Indian bowler in the top ten in the ICC rankings for Men’s T20I Bowlers.
An Indian pacer has broken into the top ten of the ICC rankings for Men’s T20I Bowlers for the first time in his career. He has been in sensational form in the shortest format and rightly ascended in the table.
The left-arm speedster of the Indian team, Arshdeep Singh has risen to a career-best ranking after his terrific performance in the first T20I against Bangladesh. He has seen a rise of a whopping eight spots, climbing to ninth position with a 642 rating, his personal best in the format.
His previous best ranking was No.13, but he is now the only Indian bowler in the top ten in the ICC rankings for Men’s T20I Bowlers. Arshdeep bowled brilliantly in the previous game, snaring three wickets for 14 runs in 3.5 overs in a match-winning spell.

His terrific performance in the match earned him the Player of the Match award, for Arshdeep was the best bowler from either side in this encounter. Ravi Bishnoi, who didn’t feature in the first T20I against Bangladesh in a shocking move, has slipped a place below and sits in the 12th spot with a 629 rating, the second-best for an Indian bowler in T20Is.
Hardik Pandya rises to the third spot in the ICC rankings for T20I all-rounder
Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya, another top performer in the first game, has seen a surge in his ranking and now sits in the third spot with a 216 rating. He has seen a rise of four spots, for he was previously sitting in the seventh position.
He is the only Indian all-rounder in the top ten, with Axar Patel being the next best at No.11 with a rating of 145. Axar is not part of the ongoing T20I series against Bangladesh after being rested to manage his workload.
Hardik starred with both bat and ball in the first game. He took a solitary wicket while conceding only 26 runs in the first innings before scoring a quick-fire 39 in 16 balls, including five boundaries and two maximums.
Both Pandya and Arshdeep will have opportunities to rise further in the rankings. The second T20I between India and Bangladesh will start later today in Delhi.
