Top Rumor: Jack Perry update
It was just the other day that word came down that Jack Perry’s contract with AEW is up and he is currently renegotiating. The expectation from many places is that he will sign a new deal and return to the company he has been a part of dating back to its inception in 2019.
However, it’s still not a done deal, according to the Wrestling Observer. And during a chat on Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez and Dave Meltzer discussed as much. Alvarez made clear again the expectation is he will sign but “anything is possible.”
But if it possible he could go to WWE, would CM Punk be able to do anything about that?
Meltzer said he doesn’t think Punk would have any kind of power to sink Perry’s chances with WWE, if there are any at all. The reality, however, is guys like him typically don’t do very well in WWE anyway, so it seems unlikely, Punk issues notwithstanding, that anything will come of it either way.
Again, the expectation remains Perry will be back with AEW. It just hasn’t happened yet.
