WBC cruiserweight world champion, Noel Mikaelian has accepted Tyson Fury’s call for him to face Tommy Fury, but on one condition.
Fury called for Mikaelian to face his younger brother, following his victory over Eddie Hall on Saturday.
“Tommy is a real fighter,” he told IFLTV.
“I’d like [WBC president] Mauricio Sulaiman to rank him in the top 15 in the light heavyweight or cruiserweight division.
“I think Tommy would have a good fight with Noel Mikaelian.
“I think Tommy has the ability to beat him.
“Tommy comes from the Fury family. Big name, big following.
“He got that top 15 ranking when he beat Jake Paul and he should be able to get it again.
“I think a world title shot for Tommy next maybe.”
The Armenian regained the WBC title with a unanimous decision win over Badou Jack in their rematch in December after dropping the belt to the Swede seven months prior.
Mikaelian has been ordered to defend his belt against unified WBA and WBO champion, David Benavidez, but insists he would be willing to face ‘TNT’ if his older brother agrees to face him afterwards.
“Tyson Fury, The Gypsy King,” the 35-year-old said in a video posted by Ring Magazine.
“If your brother wants a title shot I’m up for it.
“I can do it next if Mauricio gives me a voluntary defence, since I haven’t heard anything from the other team who I was supposed to fight.
“But only if you vouch to fight me next.”
Two-time heavyweight world champion, Fury teased an announcement from Zuffa Boxing head, Dana White after attending UFC Freedom 250 at the White House on Sunday.
White, who has claimed he’s promoting the Morecambe man’s long-awaited showdown with Anthony Joshua, said he would be making an announcement soon regarding his ties with ‘The Gypsy King’.
However, Fury’s manager Spencer Brown shut down suggestions that the 37-year-old will be signing with Zuffa, insisting he remains under Frank Warren’s Queensberry Promotions.
“He’s not signed for Zuffa Boxing,” he told Gareth A Davies.
“It was all an illusion.
“He was invited to the fight over the weekend to go to the White House and meet the [US] President [Donald Trump].

“[Saudi Arabian boxing chief] Turki Alalshikh done everything for him.
“It’s as simple as that.
“There’s no contract being signed.
“Frank Warren is still his promoter, but Turki underwrites his fights.”
Fury is likely to return in August before facing ‘AJ’ in November.
Joshua will fight himself on July 25 in Saudi Arabia, his first outing since knocking out Jake Paul in December.
