Few brands have been more active in the golf footwear collaboration space lately than PAYNTR Golf. The performance-focused footwear company has already linked up with names like Forrester’s, Jones, and Khalhon, building a reputation for collaborations that feel thoughtful rather than forced. Now it’s adding another notable partner to the list with Bad Birdie.
The partnership marks Bad Birdie’s first move into footwear and signals another step in the brand’s evolution from apparel disruptor to a full lifestyle label for golfers.

For its footwear debut, Bad Birdie chose not to start from scratch. Instead, it partnered with PAYNTR Golf, bringing its design perspective to one of the most respected performance shoes in the category.
“This is our first shot in footwear, and we knew from the start that how we entered mattered,” said Jason Richardson, Founder and CEO of Bad Birdie. “We didn’t want to just make a shoe; we wanted to make the right shoe. Partnering with PAYNTR, one of the most respected and fastest-growing brands in golf footwear, ensures we’re delivering something that performs at the highest level while still looking unmistakably Bad Birdie.”
The collection will launch through two limited-edition releases. The first arrives ahead of America’s 250th anniversary celebrations and leans into classic Americana styling. Red, white, and blue accents headline the design, while Bad Birdie’s signature aesthetic gives the familiar color palette a more contemporary feel. A second release is scheduled to arrive in July.

What separates this collaboration from many co-branded projects is the level of customization. Rather than relying on simple logo placement, Bad Birdie worked its visual identity directly into the design through custom colors, graphics, and brand details that make the shoes instantly recognizable.
Underneath the styling sits PAYNTR’s proven All Day SC platform. The shoe features a microfiber upper paired with a waterproof and breathable membrane, a PMXFOAM midsole, a TPU outsole, and a 3D-molded Ortholite footbed. The All Day SC has already earned a strong reputation with golfers looking for a spikeless shoe that can handle competitive rounds while remaining comfortable enough for everyday wear.
That combination made PAYNTR a natural partner for Bad Birdie. The collaboration gives the apparel brand immediate credibility in a category where performance expectations are high, and golfers are increasingly selective about what goes on their feet. The project was co-designed by both teams with a shared goal of blending technical performance with a more expressive approach to golf style.
“This collaboration is a perfect example of how performance innovation can serve as the foundation for bold design expression,” said Michael Glancy, Co-founder and Creative Director of PAYNTR Golf.

For PAYNTR, the release continues a growing run of successful collaborations that have helped establish the brand as one of the most interesting players in golf footwear. For Bad Birdie, it delivers proof that the brand’s identity can extend beyond polos and outerwear into categories that demand other types of performance expertise.
The result is a shoe that feels authentic to both brands. It delivers the performance golfers expect from PAYNTR while bringing the personality and visual confidence that have made Bad Birdie one of the most recognizable names in modern golf apparel.
As golf style continues to move beyond traditional category lines, partnerships like this feel increasingly relevant. Golfers aren’t building wardrobes one piece at a time anymore. They’re building complete looks and wardrobes. With this release, Bad Birdie is giving its audience a shoe to match the rest of the brand’s bold looks.
