Tyson Fury manager reveals if he’ll sign for Zuffa Boxing

Tyson Fury sparked rumours of a shock switch to Dana White’s Zuffa Boxing this week.

Fury made a grand entrance to the UFC Freedom 250 card at the White House on Sunday and claimed White had an announcement to make regarding the pair working together.

The 56-year-old UFC boss has insisted he’ll be promoting Fury’s long-awaited clash with Anthony Joshua, but remained coy in his post-fight press conference over the Morecambe man’s future.

“For the last couple of weeks I’ve been hearing from the media and other people that I’m not involved in the fight,” he told reporters.

“I’ve been hearing that Tyson Fury couldn’t get out of the country and couldn’t get into the United States and it just seems like everyone’s always wrong.

“We’ll make an announcement soon.”

However, Fury’s manager Spencer Brown has denied suggestions that ‘The Gypsy King’ has signed with Zuffa and insists he remains under a promotional agreement with Frank Warren’s Queensberry, despite Fury hailing Saudi Arabian boxing chief, Turki Alalshikh as his promoter on Tuesday.

Brown insists Alalshikh organised the trip, which saw Fury step foot into the United States for the first time since his epic third fight with Deontay Wilder in 2021.

“He’s not signed for Zuffa Boxing,” he told Gareth A Davies.

“It was all an illusion.

“He was invited to the fight over the weekend to go to the White House and meet the [US] President [Donald Trump].

“Turki Alalshikh done everything for him.

“It’s as simple as that.

“There’s no contract being signed.

“Frank Warren is still his promoter, but Turki underwrites his fights.”

The 37-year-old, who came out of retirement to beat Arslanbek Makhmudov in April, confirmed to Pro Boxing Fans on Saturday he intends to have another fight in August before facing long-time rival Joshua.

Fury and Joshua have both signed their contracts to fight, with their super fight expected to land in November.

‘AJ’ will first fight on July 25 against unknown Albanian Kristian Prenga in Saudi Arabia.
