Moses Itauma will take a step-up in class in his next outing.
proboxing-fans.com has confirmed a report from Sky Sports that Itauma will face Filip Hrgovic on August 29 at the O2 Arena in London.
The rising British heavyweight was last in action in March, wiping out Jermaine Franklin in five rounds.
The victory came just seven months after the 21-year-old destroyed former world title challenger, Dillian Whyte in the opening round.
The unbeaten Kent man will risk his number one positions with both the WBO and WBA when he faces Hrgovic, who is ranked just behind him with the WBO.
‘El Animal’ secured the vacant IBF Intercontinental crown with a third round stoppage win over Dave Allen last month.
It was the 34-year-old’s third win on the bounce since a sole professional defeat to Daniel Dubois.
Itauma will mark the Croatian’s fifth straight British opponent, having also fought David Adeleye and Joe Joyce in his last four bouts, both of which he won by unanimous decision.

“I want a fight with anyone in the division. Moses, anyone,” he said after beating Allen.
“I just need to sit with my manager and team, see if there are any injuries or cuts.
“Give me a mirror, I’ll sign the contract now.
“I never run from any opponent.

“Look, if I’m healthy, no problem for me.
“We need to see what’s going on. I need to rest.
“Moses never reached the promised land.”

Itauma has been linked with an all-British clash with WBO heavyweight world champion, Daniel Dubois, however the Londoner is on course to face Fabio Wardley in a rematch later this year.
A showdown with unified champion, Oleksandr Usyk has also been mooted, although the Ukrainian has ruled out facing him.

“I don’t want to fight with Itauma, because it’s a young guy,” the 39-year-old told Inside The Ring.
“I don’t want to break this guy.
“He’s a guy like me.
